Creating a PLU Item (Type 2)
Creating PLU Items
- Input barcode: 2 - XXXXX - XXXXX
- The initial '2' will always be a two - this will tell the Point of Sale it's a weighted item
- The first set of 5 'X's is for your PLU number. This should always be a total of 5 digits. If you have a PLU of '1' it should '00001'.
- The second set of 'X's will ALWAYS be zeros. This should be a total of 5 digits all being zeros.
- Input all other basic information such as name, prices, and fineline.
- Pricing method should be number 8 for any items that are weighted on the deli scales, if the item is a fixed price you can leave it as price method 1.
- Create the item - this will allow you to see all the other fields that we should update!
- Input PLU into the field below, this will be either Code 1, Code 2, or Code 3.
- This will allow for easy search when you want to find this item later.
These fields can be updated by TPOSN to have a label of PLU 5. Update Deli-Scale information under the General Tab within the Product Manager
a. UOM: "LB" = Weighted "EA" = Fixed Priced/Each
